New graduate appointment – Andrew Wright

Andrew recently completed his Masters degree with Honours in Physics and Technology of Nuclear Reactors at the University of Birmingham. The program provided a diverse group of modules ranging from Decommissioning, Reactor Physics and Materials Science. For his dissertation Andrew worked with Rolls Royce PLC on their nuclear naval programme, gathering an in-depth knowledge of computational coding particularly focusing on radiation transport using the Monte Carlo process.

Prior to his graduation Andrew gained experience working with CRA over the summer of 2011 on a project identifying CCFs on the Heysham B Nuclear Power Station.  Andrew will use this experience as a foundation for his career at CRA.
