CRA’s associate Carol Bloxsome to Swim the Channel for Chase Children’s Hospice in Guildford

Brave CRA associate Carol Bloxsome and her friends will be attempting to swim the English Channel sometime between Tuesday 28th July and 5th August (depending on the sea state) in order to raise funds for Chase Children’s Hospice in Guildford.

The swim shall be done in relay, with each team member swimming for 1 hour at a time. The slowest cross-channel swim completed and recorded is nearly 27 hours, so each competitor will need to swim either four or five times. The water temperature is predicted to be a brisk 14-18°C, which can only help improve the times!

CRA wish Carol and the rest of the team the best of luck in crossing the channel and hope they manage to get through the affair without drinking too much of that lovely channel water or getting stung by too many jellyfish.
