CRA welcomes Dr Katherine Varvill to the Environmental Monitoring & Assessment Team

Katherine is a specialist in industrial environmental management, with 8 years international experience in the oil & gas sector.  Her direct practical knowledge of pollution monitoring, emissions control, environmental management systems and legislation gives her crucial insight into the day to day issues surrounding environmental management of large industrial operations.  Furthermore, her previous roles reporting corporate environmental data and liaising with regulatory agencies, enable her to take a strategic approach to corporate sustainability issues.  

Katherine is an Associate of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment and holds a degree in Environmental Chemistry and doctorate in Molecular Biophysics.  She has worked on projects across the UK, in Europe, Australia, South America and the Caribbean. Recent projects have included stakeholder consultation in the Caribbean and a community energy & waste reduction initiative in the UK.

Katherine's appointment strengthen's CRA's position in supplying expert advice to clients reviewing their environmental impacts, minimizing environmental risk and communicating with stakeholders.
