CRA Supports Engineering Doctorate at Imperial College

Ashraf El-Shanawany has recently started an Engineering Doctorate at Imperial College, where he will be investigating sources of uncertainty in Probabilistic Safety Analysis.

 

Improving our understanding of uncertainties in risk estimates is an important challenge for the nuclear industry, with the potential to improve decision making processes and boost public confidence in the safety of nuclear power compared to other sources of power. Ashraf will be undertaking this project in close collaboration with CRA and academics at Imperial College.
