CRA new graduate appointment Jonathan Nicoll

CRA Warrington office is being supported by the appointment of Jonathan Nicoll to the team after having completed an MSc in Nuclear Science and Technology at the University of Manchester, the course being run in association with the Nuclear Technology Education Consortium. Jonny’s choice of subjects included risk management, decommissioning and nuclear waste management, and the design of safety critical systems which explored HAZOP analysis, event trees, and fault trees. For his dissertation, Jonny investigated and analysed reactor technology options for commercial marine propulsion applications.

In 2011, Jonny graduated with honours from the University of Glasgow with an MEng in Civil Engineering. Over the five-year course some of his subjects included structural mechanics and design, project planning and estimating.

Jonathan aims to become a Chartered Engineer over the next five years with the support of CRA.
