CRA appoint Clive Hamblin to head-up the Nuclear Waste & Decommissioning Division
Clive Hamblin joined the CRA Office at Leatherhead (Surrey) from Jacobs Engineering in May this year. Clive is a Chemist with over 35 years experience of working in the nuclear industry. Initially, he was involved in a broad range of R&D projects associated with all aspects of the nuclear fuel cycle with a particular emphasis on fuel route and waste management issues. During this time he also became a member of a number of nuclear-industry working groups on the development of gaseous filtration systems.
Over the past 15 years Clive has project managed a variety of decommissioning and waste management projects on both nuclear and non-nuclear sites for clients including the UK Atomic Energy Authority, British Energy, DSTL and the MoD. Clive has had papers published in various scientific and engineering journals and he has contributed to the drafting and review of a number of IAEA Technical Reports and Guidance Documents on decommissioning and waste management topics.
