Generally CRA will contribute only towards registered charities. This is because they work to a set of legal and regulatory standards and requirements which are monitored by the Charities Commission which helps ensure that recipients get the maximum direct benefit from funds raised.
To further this goal CRA will not fund:
- Political parties or political causes;
- Specific religious ideas or views;
- Religious bodies, except where the project is for the benefit of the society in general; and
- Individual expeditions and adventures.
